Who publishes Prospect Network, and how it decides what to cover

Everything on this site is written and reviewed by the GERONTA SPOL s.r.o. editorial team. We do not publish author bylines, biographies or staff photographs, because a named persona attached to this kind of page usually exists to create an impression of authority rather than to help a reader check anything. The company above is accountable for every word on the site, and the email address above reaches it.
How coverage is decided — the honest version
This is the section most worth reading, so it is stated plainly rather than diplomatically.
Prospect Network is funded by advertising. Specifically, it is funded by one affiliate arrangement covering one product, Norton AntiVirus Plus. That arrangement is the reason this site exists, and it determines exactly one thing: which product has a page of its own. It does not determine the content of that page, and it does not touch the guides at all.
So the scope here is narrow, deliberately:
- The guides name no products. They explain the category — how detection works, how subscriptions are priced, what the law here provides, how the fake-alert pattern is structured. Read them with every commercial link on this site removed and nothing is missing.
- There is exactly one product page, and it is written to show the limits of what we know rather than to sell. We publish no feature lists we cannot source, no prices, and no comparison between products.
- There are no rankings, scores or test results anywhere on this site. We do not run laboratory tests. Repeating somebody else's numbers without their methodology is not something we are willing to do, so we print none.
- There are no testimonials and no case studies. We have not collected any, and inventing them is the most common way sites in this category mislead people.
The trade-off is real and we would rather name it than hide it: a site with one commercial relationship cannot tell you which product is best, and this one does not try to. What it can do is explain the category well enough that you can evaluate any product yourself, and point you to the Australian bodies whose material is authoritative and free.
Sources and claims
Where a page states something about Australian law, consumer rights, or official guidance, it links to the body responsible for it — the ACCC, the OAIC, the Australian Cyber Security Centre, Scamwatch or the eSafety Commissioner. Where we cannot point to a source, the text is phrased as general guidance rather than as fact, or it is left out.
We are aware that as a publisher advertising to consumers in Australia, the prohibition on misleading or deceptive conduct applies to us and not only to the advertiser. That is not a constraint we resent; it happens to produce a better site.
Corrections
Pages are reviewed when something changes and at least annually, and each carries the date of its last review in the footer. If you find an error, write to info@prospectnetwork.online with the page address and what is wrong. Corrections are made on the page where the error appeared. If a correction changes the meaning of something material, we say so on the page rather than editing silently.
What this site is not
It is not a news service and nothing here is reported journalism. It is not the official site of any vendor, and no vendor has reviewed, approved or supplied the text. It is not a shop: nothing can be bought here, there is no account, no form, no newsletter and no field to type anything into. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics, which is described in full in the cookie policy and the privacy policy.
